It all began with intent kill the weeds tame the soils alter the topography challenge the skies to suit the selfish controlling cries of two legged beasts remodel the Earth as if man's designs were superior to those of a master sculptor but then again, perhaps ‘twas all the while the reality this globe was haphazardly thrown together in the first place? and it’s always been a dog-eat-dog god-forsaken world? |

We are the weeds . . . BBC News Release: Global Decline and we are blind to the beautiful planet that we are destroying. The only species known to have the capacity to care about it, but unable to do so. What a shame. glider |

Good thought, for I wonder which is better man's increating dominance over nature or nature's peace and tranquility. |

Thanks to each of you for reading and commenting. My intent with this write was to focus not only on our careless handling of the physical Earth, but our collective carelessness in respecting the sanctity of Life in general. I have always believed we must care for the weakest of us, the 'weeds' and the ones often overlooked in the animal as well as the plant kingdom. It seems we often fail to protect anyone but the strongest, and for this, we shall all pay a price some day. I found I could barely address such heady issues in this one post, so I ended up leaving the focal point our disregard for the physical Earth. |
