Defence radiated aggression but why Knowingly taking everything but why Living of someone's everything but why But Why When you could have snuggled up in the same room and bed When you could have stopped after 27 years and cooked a fried egg When everything was you as the Daddy's Girl Who only was waited on And kept it all a curl Maybe there was a book But you live in the towns Where nice people play for you And the shadows have the sound I understand and always did Why you felt that others If you did nothing Would fall over their brothers To serve you I just never understood Why |
