~Oh, Odonata!~ We wait for you each summer to eat the bloodsucking hummer that bites us unmercifully in the dark, near gentle streams, in the yard, in the park. ~Oh, Odonata!~ Littlest dragon in the sky, we wait for you to fly by. We adore your jeweled wings. You are our favorite emerald sky dancer, a damsel darner, a bluet beauty. ~Oh, Odonata!~ You are the hopes and dreams of every camper's midnight screams, of every fisherman and hiker, the adventurous biker, and every tender-skinned sinkhole skinny-dipper who has been bitten by a skeeter mouth zipper! ~Oh, Odonata!~ We anxiously await your return on wing each spring. * (This is a re-write from three years ago) Odonata=dragonfly, damselfly, pondhawk, darners |

I didn't realize that you had done a rewrite of this. I like 'em both. Enjoyed watching a few of the fliers today. |

thanks, glider Yamhill county weather has been too chilly and wet, no sign of pesky skeets, so no need for dragons, yet. |
