TO THE HEART The gift is not in creating It’s the willingness to share To open up your heart and soul And let the World see what’s there. It’s not enough to put to word The things you think are real It should be done in such a way So that others can relate and feel. They might say, “I have been there!” Or, “I know just what you mean!” “That same thing happened to me!” Maybe, “That’s something I have seen!” Some insights into their mind That may just catch them by surprise Might make them stop and/or reflect Or even bring tears to their eyes. It may change the way they live And even turn their life around If there in those things you share Life’s question's answers can be found. So not matter what your art form Be it music, brush or pen Reach for the Heart and touch it Then reach and touch it once again.
