All the Fools Sailed Away As we drift through life I’m never surprised, By the things we’ll do for love and a song, It seems that from half-truths life is comprised, And there’s surely no sense of right and wrong. Yet what does it matter if it’s not me? Disregard the, “us,” the, “they,” and the, “them.” Cast our misgivings into the Dead Sea, Fear not redemption for none will condemn. We are the innocents; we are the damned, We write not in starlight for our words hurt, Against naked truth our hearts have been slammed, Beneath the blackened moon…we’re the inert. Yea all the fools sailed away o'er the seas, And the hunger that’s left naught will appease. |

As we drift through life I’m never surprised, By the things we’ll do for love and a song, And we often even skip the song. *S* I like this very much... it flows so smoothly! *S* |

I find this painful - but then perhaps it is merely my mood today - you write the ache well, Kevin - Susan If I wander far enough, long enough, will I finally know . . . |

These verses carry it all -- We are the innocents; we are the damned, We write not in starlight for our words hurt, Against naked truth our hearts have been slammed, Beneath the blackened moon…we’re the inert. Yea all the fools sailed away o'er the seas, And the hunger that’s left naught will appease. They are so strong that they could BE the poem, so clear, so original.... A six-line sonnet wouldn't do -- or maybe it would....I did write one with only four lines, once upon a time.... /pip/Forum76/HTML/003248.html ~~(¸¸¸¸ºº> ~~(¸¸¸¸ºº> ~~(¸¸ ¸¸ºº> ~~~(¸¸ER¸¸ºº> |

EV2, It says it all. "We are the innocents; we are the damned, We write not in starlight for our words hurt, Against naked truth our hearts have been slammed, Beneath the blackened moon…we’re the inert. Yea all the fools sailed away o'er the seas, And the hunger that’s left naught will appease." You just keep getting better and better! Love your writing! miscellanea |

Same thing my friend, looking for a brilliant and here it is. You writing is sheer brilliance. Talent drips from your pen like a great fountain. I am always left with my jaw on the floor whenever I discover one your jewels upon these blue pages. It is simply a thrill to be allowed to read your thought-provoking, brilliantly painted writes. Why haven't you published this stuff? Kevin |

It is Easter, A time to rise up from the detrice of what was...without fret or regard for probing eyes. It is the substance of the miracle that displays it's theme upon the heart. A toast to the spring poet! TD |
