I see these people Trapped in their shells The internet being Their only friend Living a life of solitude Failing to look For another way out This to me Is a miserable existence One for which I will not stand So with that in mind I take action To rectify the situation I relieve them of their loneliness Taking it upon myself And replace it with friendship One like they’ve never seen I break them out of their shells And make them a part of my world I show them how to make friends again And how to experience what the world has to offer And then it happens As if being struck by lightning Their lives change forever They have more friends Than they have ever known They have more money Then they know what to do with And their nights are filled With plans of joy All of this I see take place Only after I have gone And then there are those Who’s lives I enter At a time of great heartache and despair Feeling as forgotten as an old shoe Treated as if they Were just a possession By the one man That they ever will love Praying inside For his love once again That’s when I reach out And touch their spirit Absorbing their pain And anguish within I give them my love A piece of my heart In order to fill The gaps that he’s made For only my love Will easy their pain Which I have taken Upon myself Then all at once It happens again They fall for the man They always have loved He dose all the things They were dying to see Only after I have gone G. I realize that this is neither one of my latest nor better pieces, but it tells a true story. These kind of things have happened and continue to happen with the people I encounter in this life. The thing that sucks though is that the tables turn on me. Thus I become the lonely one and the one treated like an old shoe. But they move on to truly splendid lives and I guess I can take some comfort in that. Why did I tell you this? So that you know the story behind the words. Thank you for reading. G. A. lots of people feel this way but still I believe that no good deed goes unrewarded what comes around goes around |
