More lilies bloomed today In the dead of winter You brought color and scent My breath smiles your beauty You keep yourself just within reach I long for the courage to pull you close I falter, scared to discover You are a mirage and I a fool My eyes glisten, wet extension of me Being alone brings security From that which brought darkness In another time But it does not warm the skin Nor does it shudder me in anticipation I lose warmth with each passing moment So I sit, looking at lilies Hoping next time you reach out Warming me with a touch of solid Just to let me know you are real "cast me gently into the morning, for the night has been unkind" |

More lilies bloomed today In the dead of winter You brought color and scent a nice touch of faith here in the dead season, there is life and amid the uncertainties and hesitations something grows right under your nose, it's your call if you want to pick it while its ripe so much in your short poem |
