The television speaks, a senator
Is screaming, resurected rants
He thinks will grease
The slowly turning wheels,
Of over half the congress.

Urging fellow members, need to sign
The Stevens, earth-death warrant
For the heinous, capital crime
The Artic land admits
Of holding oil underneath;
With a smile and thumbs-up nod,
From a shortsighted king.

Gwich'in, people of the carabou
Beware, your road of life is short.

You know the paychecks in the crude
Will not sustain your way of life,
And even though you nay extending
Oil roads across the tundra,
Your feelings will not fall
The standing, petro Goliaths-
Whose actions clearly prove
They will never heed the woes,
Their presence on a pristine land
Is prophesized to bring;
That is written as a warning,
In the scripture of *Isaiah.

The stone of your culture
Is but a pebble,the giant
Is very tall, and no one is
thats strong enough
To help you load a bigger rock,
Or twirl a larger sling.
