My daughter shook the salt and asked, "Mom, is this stuff good?" she saw my grin begin a crawl across my face misunderstood as I bellowed "Don't ya know? Salt was once a dead sea snow deviling the Sodom eggs and rendering a sea bequeathed of nothing, nothing, ever dreamed above the tides of peppering 'fish will not lay eggs' beneath the tide of their own eulogy as She turned and burned the deep into the brine of all her grief of what she'd left behind..." My daughter shook her head and asked, "But, this stuff, does it go bad?" "No," I kissed her head and said, "but some will try to tell you so" sprinkle me some dead sea soup and let the lady live again for it was for a glimpse of truth that the woman was reviled as she glanced behind to see the passions of them die as she cried the waters dry and screamed as sand poured from her eyes for youth and all she'd never be again "Yeah, but is that good?" I sighed. I told her that I think too much, and maybe I could use a touch, so pass the salt to me, you see? For her, I toss a pinch and glimpse over my left ways... |

Hey now, all this talk about my muse riding "high" might give some folks the wrong impression about me. . . . Oh alright, so I had a teeny bit of a buzz. Just whiskey, Ma, I swear. And this was indeed inspired by an actual conversation with my daughter. *chuckle* I rarely answer questions simply, and yep, sometimes they just don't bother to ask me at all. Thanks for reading folks. I do love this place. |

Brilliant. Oh, how I understand. Do you know that every one of your poems I read goes straight to my library?! I really wish I had a hard copy, my lady. Each poem is a gift. .....jo |
