Dirt was always in the mind didn't matter days behind Dirt was always spread Sometimes good but usually dread Place was nowhere you belong dirt doesn't have a song Dirt was always swirling In the mind or kind Train stopped Dry day Looked at eyes closed with picking sand And words they could hear Told her then I would take her Knew the plans that would make her Said she promised him long ago She'd keep her word and with him sow Got onboard that train that night Knew what I'd done weren't right Kept her mind into my head A year later she was dead Gave herself as family said Frightened my offer was a bigger dread Old man took her as her family planned Now she lies not in my arms but land |

We all face these chunks of life and a lot of time we run away but we always remember what if? Thanks Dave |
