Victorian Thin Were I to build an arbor in Victorian thin Would it grant ivy vines in paths to touch Were I to place mums in portrait of begin Would you see this fire smoldering in Autumn clutch Were I to catch three rays of golden glow Would you braid them in morning delight Were I to wrap the night in a starry bow Would you find a dream horizontal in constellation sight Were I to lace a path in magnolia hall Would it find carpets of petal perfume Were I to plants seeds on whispers call Would you feel the winds beckoning our history to resume Were I to drink rain in diamond dance Would it quench a thirst in visions eye Were I to take miles in country glance Would you find travel in my yearnings ... knowing why Mark Christopher |

Mark "Were I to take miles in country glance Would you find travel in my yearnings ... knowing why" Yes! No thought necessary to answer yes. Could you write a poem anymore gorgeous? NO! (well maybe you could, but I couldn't) ![]() |

Mark, I enjoy reading all of your life's travels. They are journeys of the heart, the mind and of the soul. The world through your poetic eyes is a wondrous thing to behold. Love & Light, Linda |

I fall captive into the beauty of your words, most lovely and sigh worthy - ![]() Happiness isn't something that happens to you, it's created from within you. Joy is a state of mind. |

You know Mark I can always tell if someone has been on a "discovery" for words begin to take on new meanings and a life of their own when expelled from the heart. Absolutely breathtaking. The answer to your question without hesitation would of course be yes, from any one in their right mind I believe. ![]() |

The arbor path is lined with the lusty blooms of fall. Each their own of scent, and each to heart does call. A keepsake. Love in starlight is blessed. TD |

Victorian thin the very first line and already you lay down the perfect personifi. ![]() Would you see this fire smoldering in Autumn clutch and that line is pure poetry in motion!! Were I to catch three rays of golden glow Would you braid them in morning delight how lovely is that... Were I to lace a path in magnolia hall Would it find carpets of petal perfume Were I to plants seeds on whispers call Would you feel the winds beckoning our history to resume that verse is picture perfect...such wonderful poetic employ of imagery..something there to tease all of the senses and paint such a lovely portrait in the reader's minds eye.(the first verse as well) Were I to drink rain in diamond dance Would it quench a thirst in visions eye Were I to take miles in country glance Would you find travel in my yearnings ... knowing why each of those couplets should be held up to the light to see the true colors of your vision.... I love the way you presented this...both in writing with the theme of questions and in the lines staggered to add to its beauty. You painted a landscape panaramic with your words and a still life garden scene became a walk in Eden. Another gem of verse MC. Poetry is emotion put into measure. |

Gentle Spirit - And as always I enjoy the oppurtunity to read your comments and read you as well. Thank you much. Martie - I truely thank you for that but never doubt ( cause I don't ) that you could and DO write them more gorgeous than I ever could. Earth Angel - I am humbled by your words and I thank you dearly for always being so kind. Susan - Thank you and I am glad you enjoyed. Mysteria - I always try to write from the heart so as to not confuse myself as to where I am at. Thank you much. ThisDiamond - Yes, a call to a heart from another heart does find it's own path. Thank you dearly and if you find it a keepsake then I am honored. JM - Well there ya go again trying to make me sound like a real poet LOL. You know I thank you for always giving me more in your reply than I feel I earned but then again, that is one reason why so many ( including myself ) treasure you so much. Thank you and you know how much your appreciated. |

suthern - That in time will hopefully be the answer found, but the time pattern does have to respect the reassurance. Thank you for stopping by and gracing me with your "suthern" charm. |
