Coming Up for Air Weak and weary weeping, bleary, much too teary to turn toward light. Should this plight be my fate, too late to find hope in a promise uttered centuries ago? Should I know His mercy is new every morning? Have I read the promise somewhere? A promise to take despair, wrap it in care and toss it among erasings that lie in eternity’s grave. Do not save these shavings but burn them in candle’s flame, letting light blind them into obscurity. ©November 7,2004 Whether on the shoal or on the shore, I'll seek the lighthouse evermore. Ah, this reads of hope offered - Susan Happiness isn't something that happens to you, it's created from within you. Joy is a state of mind. |
