The throbbing, pounding in my head,
Has driven me back to my bed.
Ice packs placed around my crown,
~ This headache's got me feeling down.

I'm seeing stars before my eyes,
From my lips come mournful sighs.
I'm not a stoic ~ I can't take pain,
This migraine's driving me insane!

My lack of food has brought this on.
~ Surely fasting must be wrong!
It's good to cleanse ~ I do agree,
But this fast is killing me!

A drop of pin brings blast of pain,
To this tortured, burning brain.
I want my room pitch dark and quiet,
~ No light, no sound ~ I'm on a diet!

Oh Linda I am so sorry about the pain..
and fasting can bring on a headache quickly...I know!

My one day fast is over! Now it's chow time! lol Seriously, fasting is the pits but I do believe it is a good way to periodically detoxify. I wasn't actually starving myself. I had my Jack Lalanne Power Juicer on the go making fresh juices but I did not eat any solids. I drank 10 glasses of water to wash away any impurities in my system.

I had a sensible breakfast to "break" my "fast" and I feel great and the headache has gone!

Have a great day! Mine will be ~ now that I'm back on real food! lol

I am happy to report to you that I have ~
and am back to the land of the living! lol

I could never handle a complete fast, but what I do is enough for me! I a disciplined but I'm not that disciplined!

Enjoy your day! It's raining here ~ but it is still a lovely day! A quiet, reflective sort of day ~ a day for eating comfort food! lol Tsk, tsk! I jest! After a fast I always get back to eating more sensibly.

I've fought migraines but this battle chosen bears too much pain! Now I remember why I gave them up.

If tears could build a stairway and memories a lane, I'd walk right up to heaven and bring you home again.

There was a time in my life when I suffered horribly with headaches! ~ but then I got a divorce! And now I very seldom have a headache! ~ and that is usually because I have deprived myself of food! lol
