Freyja

a name chimed in grass
echoed upon every blade
she is the sunshine
the coolness of shade

fresh water that floods
trickling drip by drip
the destination,
the means, the trip

the definition of uncharted
love now in understand
the power of a lifetime
in the grasp of a tiny hand

brilliance shines on this face
that shadows the moon
heart beats sweet lullaby
played from new tune

a garden green
fruit of delight
the melt of wax
in darkness now light

the world is so big
it can be so wide
but you save us now
innocence our guide

with you our precious
gift that we receive
all nature now sighs
hope is a word to believe
