~* I Am But One *~I truly tried to collect words, I did.Shuffling about in an apron of silence, Now so mechanically untied yet again, Folded so carefully now lying on my table. Lifting it again I lovingly try to feel the fabric Of all those silent wishes for words of her Those seem forever to be unuttered. For days now I have worn this apron thin Worrying a frayed edge with fidgeting fingers, Straining to find the missing words I feel Sifting so slowly through a hole in my heart Now hiding bottomed in some pocket silent. I tried to entice my pen to dance and scratch, Wanting so badly to paint my thoughts of her Into some words to be understood by all who read. I tried, but couldn’t form a word in my mouth to tell of her and how much her life mattered. She could touch you with a purity of heart So genuine it could change night into day. How could I tell you of a petite little soul So heavy in kindness that Her tiny frame Often moved mountains of fear and despair to hope? The thought of missing her presence now So selfishly weighs many down in such sadness. I am but one she touched, just one. How can you put power like that into words? Are there even words that can describe Such a sweet and tender soul who, Always had time to share love and faith. She must have felt my quiet frustration, For in a split second of a tune’s melody, the words became crystal clear to me. I knew how to express what her life meant, At least to me. She made me a better person, yes she did. Think about having that kind of power, To influence someone’s life for the betterment. I am but one. One of so many others of all ages, Finding they are somewhat lost for words. They say the dove is a symbol of peace and divine inspiration. She surely knew her purpose in life that girl. She changed lives in an instant by just being herself. Even now she makes me smile, but then, she always did. Through her unselfish sharing, I now realize Rebecca Was now a permanent part of all those she touched. I am but one. She will continue to touch those wishing her touch, Through her words of peace, faith and love. ~* Soar Forevermore In Peace Sweet Rebecca *~ Personal Note: I could not find the words to say anything about our dear Rebecca, until this very day I found a radio station by “accident,” and then the words just came to me as you have read them here. That radio station believe it or not turned out to be ~ White Dove Radio ~ http://www.whitedoveradio.com/ ~*~ The artist is unknown. Should you know who it is please inform me so I may thank them with proper credit. [This message has been edited by Mysteria (02-06-2005 08:44 PM).] |

You know how this makes me feel...and how beautiful a tribute it is....thank you for all you've done for Becky's spirit. It's amazing how many people she's touched with her words...I don't think she really understood her power... |

They say there is no such thing as coincidence, Sharon. You were meant to find that station. This was so moving a piece and says everything I cannot. Count me among those Becky touched. love ya, jo |

I didn't know Rebecca, sadly...but wish so, I would have been granted that gift... Sharon, this was beautiful Bless you, bless her family, friends...and all her poet friends who loved her so. |

You were in tune with symbols... and that is a very good thing, Sharon... I believe Rebecca is smilng, because I truly feel she believed in symbols as well. I'm so very glad that these words came forth. |

She could touch you with a purity of heart So genuine it could change night into day. How could I tell you of a petite little soul So heavy in kindness that Her tiny frame Often moved mountains of fear and despair to hope? Who could have put this into words but you, dear heart? This is an exact and extraordinary portrait, "a petite little soul" that "often moved mountains". "Heavy in kindness"- Oh, so true. What a moving tribute. Read this, Rebecca, and know it is you, it is true, you are this portrait of smallness and grandeur. Thank you, mysteria Liz |

I can't say thank you for a "feeling," but I am glad you read this and understand how important we can be in our lifetime if we work at it. Sure doesn't take much does it, just loving your neighbour. Lovebug - music is the language of angels! Oh how that warmed me this morning! I had never listened to any Christian music before, and now I doubt I will enjoy any as much as this station, so strangely called White Dove radio Certainly can't hurt you to feel good can it? (Can't you just hear her saying that, LOL?) http://www.whitedoveradio.com/ Rebecca was so tiny, especially at the end, and still that stubborn and strong faith of hers was her warm blanket that she still shared to comfort those feeling her cold too. She truly was a living example of what we are supposed to be in this life, and I will always miss this lady. Always! |

That was a clear synchronicity ... a message to be caught. And you were able to speak in touching words about this beautiful soul Rebecca/White Dove. I do not doubt for a moment that she continues to follow the blue pages ... Beautiful tribute! Love and hugs. Margherita |

"I tried to entice my pen to dance and scratch". Ah, it's hard when you want your pen to come up with something extraordinary--and nothing comes. It seems that you've done an excellent job, in spite of your doubts, though... |

Sharon, I did not know her. Though through you her memory lives in such an incredible way. Words I wish I could write. But settle for the blessing and inspiration of having read. Your heart is ever so tender and always I love you for it... If tears could build a stairway and memories a lane, I'd walk right up to heaven and bring you home again. |

Well today was Becca's Memorial, and I understand her poetry was there for all to view. I have to thank Ron for the archives and having her still here whenever she is needed, and she always will be by so many. She is finally out of pain, at peace, and with her God. |

Sharon, you were not meant to write a poem for Becky until you were led by Divine Guidance to "White Dove Radio" which gave you the inspiration to write this deeply stirring piece of poetry for her. She's smiling down at you, Dear Sharon. God bless you both, Love & Eternal Light, Linda |
