Wished It Were For Me it may be vanity’s touch but they are words I wish for me the wanting that would touch my sweat rolling upon the heat of aching skin in water that could quench and surround whispered words that others hear that somehow misplaced miss my ears where only my own heartbeat echoes why does this life choose me the swirling silence of a stone where I hear the words that could call me so comfortably home but are again meant for another just some words cut out |

That longing comes through strong. I have moved beyond the stage where once I may have been jealous of a well-established marriage, or young couple all googly eyed, or envy's tug I once felt when seeing a beautiful pregnant woman (and how I wish I'd done that......well, alright, I still own that one) or even that diamond commercial with the old couple holding hands. Now I'm genuinely delighted for them all (and some consider me an old crank) Poets against the war is redundant |

That puzzles me as well, it truly does ~~ but there are times and there are people, with whom it seems to be an ongoing pattern. |

I have to align myself with RSW's thoughts...we get to an age, or a stage...where we just wish those we see, happiness...and hope their private lives are only rocky in the right ways... |

I once broke my own heart with envy as I watched couples at an outdoor show--how loving they all were with each other and I was bitter, thinking "life will never be like that for me". I was properly shamed by a little friend too. But you lady, will have epic poetry written for you, as befitting the Goddess that you are. (and if you'd like to read about my fit of envy, check your yahoo for the url, I'll leave a message. ) love and prayers ladyslick |
