Her Little Angel

You were her little angel
The joy of her life
When you deserted her
she often asked me why

The pain she felt inside
was easy for me to see
She doesn't seem as happy
as she use to be

I visited her just today
and as I was looking at her
I couldn't help but notice
she has become a whole lot thinner

The reasons you have given
for staying away form her
never did make sense to me
for you are her granddaughter

The worries you have caused her
and your grandpa, too
I do not think they deserved
after all they did for you
