I saw myself on timeless bench With Sunshine by my side Her laugh, sweet as honey Her smile, a moving tide We shared the freshness of the breeze Till leaves came dancing by And then she spun, like golden thread Her thoughts, through poet's eye "I'd wait forever, and a day to share this bench with you; or any, for that matter, this is just one poet's view But now that we've the moment, I'd rather hear your breath, Collecting thoughts from others Is treasure for my chest..." Soon, the sun began to settle but her features did not fade... It happened, I imagine on a bench that Sunshine made. |

Dixie & Lee, Thanks. Sunshine is, as her name suggests, a warming influence on MANY here! By the way, the inspiration for this poem is her recently written "Seatscape". I think you'll get my intent if you give it another read. Rf |

Jellybeans, As if Karilea needed my poem to know the truth! BTW, it's my pleasure to have made you smile! Rf |

A warm bench that would be, a view shared by many and a justifiable and considerate tribute. Poets against the war is redundant |
