you brought the boxes down
from unsaid upstairs
and stacked them there
around the willing
of my listen skin

you showed me your tattoo
how the lines were formed
into a want to butterfly
and you just needed color
to make her fly

the other guys watched the sky
for daydreams and rain
and didn't bother to help
when you needed the tub
of laughter carried in

so you and I just did it by ourselves
