Forever In Your Heart

All I have known,
or ever knew,
is tucked away
inside,

It has been packed,
ready to leave,
only to the future,
does my heart cleave,

Heavily filled with pain,
hurt, and wounded pride,
Will I carry it the rest
of my life?
or toss it out for the new?

My life is in the hands
of the future,
the weight of this baggage,
is pulling me...

I need to toss it,
before I drown,
so hard, have I,
tried to bury it,
to forget it,

One day , you came along,
you helped me to carry it,
to empty it,

Once again it is empty inside,
waiting to be filled with YOU!
