Deep Are the Tears of a Sensitive Man

I do not seek a kiss from death
To suffer my transgressions in silent tears---
A forever sleep of sorrow,
Where I drift within glimpses of tomorrow,
Observing temptation sweet talking the ghosts of saints---
Saints that jump joyfully into the arms of Pandora’s calling;
One night I will dream away my anguish,
Imagining myself a king of angels
To rescue my helpless soul from those mischievous demons---
Demons that dance playfully in my memories and tears.
If only…
If just this once…
I could stop striving for perfection
And appreciate that one, gentle flower---
A flower that blossoms only for the smile of the sunshine;
Then perhaps my hopes would no longer be ignored by innocence---
Innocence, whose perfume fragranced shoulder I rest my weeping head…
But lately her embraces have become much colder and tighter,
As she chuckles silently at my deceitful heart.

Marcel

yes..what we all need to remember...perfection is a perception.

Sensitive....doesn't pay. Can't begin to name the cost that's exacted from you for the sin of being a sensitive man.

On the other hand, only a sensitive man could have written a poem like this one, and I guess that's a payback of sorts....

A title such as this would most certainly
catch my eyes,  being somewhat of a similar
mold...carrying feelings not unlike your
own...

Well done,  can relate.
