Time Machine What light in yonder pane doth pierce my heart again, and again? This wine is sweet, from a vine so bitter… . Take hold your senses Let fly the freedom dove What reward can one have in this solitude, of love? Not the lord of the roses, Nor the lord of all this ground. None, but the lord of brier-patches… . . Time withered away to stolen island Where buried treasure surely awaited Yet, on arrival, with no turning back No need for lack, not a moment slated Days now hours, years as months now pass Reflection ponds force their found truth This time machine has stolen my youth… . . . |
