I think a time is coming
When myths will come alive
When mermaids swim the ocean
When chariots race the sky.

I think the hour is nearing
When legends will arise
From mammoth caves, from entombed graves.
I hope that we survive.

I think they have all arrived
From ages in the past
And we will know just what they are,
And who we are, at last.

ah, makes me think of watching a bit of the illiad the other night - mythology can actually be somewhat frightening - I hope the titans are not on the move again -

Enjoyed this jo-

You know what?
I hope so...
I would love
to see a myth
in my time...

I think I agree with Karilea....a myth or two would be great!  Enjoyed the thought of this, Jo!

I think you just keep getting better and better.
Love the flow of this.
And it's quite interesting.
With the current events of the world... it's hard not to grow afraid of the future.

Myths explain when logic and reason do not suffice...

Primitive and modern people all live by there teachings, even today...so they are important...

This poem says just that to me...We need the supernatural when the plausible becomes frightening...my feelings are that that is where all God thought came from...

we all, everyone of us, is searching for...to believe in something...if we didn't have that, hope would not be a positive word/world....darling, your building a monument here....a regular house of worship...loved reading this.
