Coming in for a three-point landing on an iced-over lake, skating to and fro they go as children and adults line Washington Park to watch and greet winged Canadians one-by-one visiting the not-so-golden pond of a mid-city park in Denver. Washington Park, in winter... I remember it well. |

Yes, our graceful Canadian geese. Nowadays, alot of them stay here as we humans have overfed them and they refuse to leave. Sounds harmless .. .but is should be natural instinct to fly south. I know I would if I had wings! Enjoyed this. hugs, Chris |

Yes Kacy, it is amazing the number that stay right here in southern Ontario... what with global warming and people feeding them here.. but they are so beautiful watching them fly over the frozen river. Excellent write. Hugs~ In the midst of winter, |

Dixie, have you ever seen these magnificent geese? I can assure you, they will stay in your thoughts long after they are out of your sight. Chris and Nancy, thanks for reading. I wrote only a brief memory moment, yet spent many hours watching these geese, in Alaska, British Columbia, Oregon, Washington, and Colorado. I love all the flying creatures; yes, even the bugs, for they are part of the smorgasbord that feeds all the feathered beauties, and help pollinate all the flowers. OK, so that's another write. LOL |
