It might have been cats were hated rats were free to roam, venerated than a twist of fate occured what of cat have you lately heard? One who brushed Beth's sheltered leg became an ornament in throne room steads from a group of kittens not adults cats which learned the smell of a villan rat smelled a rodent in the chamber corner where pies were prodded by Mr Horner Now kittens don't wear mittens naturally their moms don't wash them either with their paws exposed, they soon cried but Mom had their mittens faithfully dried... Might be that cats were once hated they knew to wash mittens unabated. On a change in fate for floor board pests? wonder if Beth's cat ever had a night's rest! changed the order of lines in stanza 2 for a more fluid read..I had a faithful cat too unfortunately gone 3 years now...and others I had to leave behind in Italy. |
