If Only I Could Get Back

Seem to be falling behind
Setbacks and much more
If only I could get back
To where I was before

A week into the new year
Enduring persistent pain
If only I could get back
To writing once again

Tablets have side affects
In another sleepless night
If only I could get back
I am wanting to write

Knowing I shall persevere
Not wanting to lose touch
If only I could get back
I miss writing so much

Becoming more frustrated
My muse is left in the dark
If only I could get back
Poetry's creative spark

Think not of the work involved
But the hearts you warm, when your thoughts,
into poetry evolve…

Through a mangle I seek advice in vision taught of the ringer and then the dog's bed as a towel needing a wash ocassionaly.

Hi Hope, I'm sorry to hear that you have been suffering with the shingles. Those things are so painful!! I hope that you get better real soon...and I feel that you will be right back into the writing the way you have always been.

(By the way, this one doesn't have anything wrong with it, in my opinion.)
