Winter Wonderland Romance

I oft’ sit dreaming about the ways
that love could be shared       by only two,
thinking about all types of things
that two people in love could do.

I wonder if there is any way
that I could ever understand,
what it feels like to be able
to walk with a lover       hand in hand.

To stroll through fields of winter white
in beauty of softly pirouetting snow,
catching snowflakes to melt on tongues
sharing precious moments as we go.

Walking snowdrifts along a shoreline
under the brilliance of bluest skies,
as we listen quietly to the ocean
whispering softly,     mesmerized by her sigh.

Sitting beside a crackling fire
watching flames in sensual dance,
just to be held in magical spell
of winter wonderlands romance.

Laying my head upon a shoulder
lingering a few moments in peaceful rest,
lying close together with a loved one
in passionate tenderness      and sweet caress

I would look up into the skies
and thank the heavens and angels above
for sending to me someone so special
that I could bestow with all my love.

All of these are just the little things
that my spirit still believes in,
so deep within this heart of mine
I will always still be       dreaming.

this makes me wish to be in a cabin somewhere with a warm fireplace of a man who loves me for who I am, and values that specialness...even the bad...smiles

Lovely writing Lady...absolutely loving....

So, now tell me...how are things up your way, any ice? My but they were predicting 1/4 in to 1/2 in of ice last night into this morning....sure glad it wasn't so....

No problems down here in Lansdale/Quakertown area! How bout you?

Thanks Lee. We just got mainly rain where I'm at. All of the snow hit mainly north of Harrisburg. Stay off the roads now ya hear!
