spending the end of a day
like loose change
at the bar
adding it up
to make enough
for one more heartbeat high

I wore out my shoes
with my feet up
on some desk
with braces and faces
looking back at the years
above my knee pad politics

but old 04 was a good whore
the way she dressed up
for dinner 3 hundred and sixty
degrees from center
too hot to touch
but not hot enough for cookin

so now I just screw
the cap back on the mouth
of some dizzy dansani
and day dream a gray goose
with out the neck fire
of a vodka's saliva

and add an 05 to my casio's portrait
