Bring it blue to me With B.B. fondling Lucile in a passionate throe Of eye closing release Each forceful pluck one string closer you know To the edge of oblivion And I’ll wrap it up for you In pages of scribbled notes half finished in rhyme Or some groping reach to find Persian meter Of once upon someone’s time
Hell with the constructs Dictated by the P O E T R Y police I’ll find my own lines on the white to write So close your eyes Or blink twice Cause when the Blue sits heavy thighs on my lips Begging the touch of some unknown tongue That might sip dew from the cracks
I got no reason to play the same Brick brake tune of words that might grace Some small town memory Or to hum anything but the best of vibes With trembling lips against the reed of her
If it’s true Then the south done won after all you know If it ain’t Then Billie lied before she tasted too much And her passing don’t mean a thing Just like mine won’t When you’ve forgotten how it was to feel The drop to bass and the rhythm of drums Played on skin with lights low Embracing too many deaths you already had Looking for one more To put you in the realms of ecstasy
So bring it to me blue
And I’ll listen while you
Sing some sad notes or simple cry the tears Bottled up inside for aging And when you are through
I’ll spit the notes of you from my tongue And mix them with the ashes Of what you burned To stain again some indecent lines On this the blue Of paper white

The four letter f word has been expanded to read "fantastic!"

Yes..... the South definitely won that round....and some others.
This is so smooth, like the virtuosity it shows....Jazz does have two meanings....one of which is (fine), and the other, (!) the other.....and your jazz? Oh yeah.....

Ms Sunshine... you're being kind ma'am... just a few drops of spittle here mixed with the ashes of a few tunes... trying to make my own ink...
Ed... sir... you are exceedingly kind... and patient to continue to read my meager droppings here...
I appreciate the eyes..and the read
thanks all... your time and your eyes are appreciated..

Even though I can't always find the words sufficient enough to reply to your wonderful writes here on the blue...I still love reading them. And, though my "blues" don't sound nearly as good as yours, I sure do feel them sometimes. Hugs, Ethel

Your poetry always impresses me... today, it's absolutely blowing me away... and here... gives me music along with the words.

That's easy -- I think you're one of the best, if not the best, singers in this choir....~~(¸¸¸¸ºº> ~~(¸¸¸¸ºº> ~~(¸¸ ¸¸ºº> ~~~(¸¸ER¸¸ºº> ______________Ratleader______________
