I Woke

I woke upon my bed this morn
And all the luxury was gone
The clouds were mixing colored hue
The air was missing brine of brew

My shadow woke in back of me
No longer did he sway at sea
But followed me in lazy care
And seemed to show some sorrows flair

And when I made my breakfast dine
He left me his but I ate mine
He seemed to move a slower pace
A trace of sadness seemed the case

He followed me the whole day through
Shifting in and out of view
And gestured me a puppets dance
Without it seems a flairs nuance

He seems to miss the luxury
The doddery of flattery

well I can't blame him...I'd miss it too

just keep him close Sy
shadows are always reassuring...indeed there must be light

good morning dear poet
I will miss you in my move today, being off the net till I figure out the wireless cable connection at my new place

I so enjoyed the cruise we took last year...
and would do it again in a heartbeat!

Save your pennies, Sy...and do it again, Soon!

My Christmas day just wouldn't be complete without a poetic twirl around the floor with your words, sweet Sy!

Merry Christmas to you and Isabel!

Best wishes and big hugs,
/Kit

Here's a bit of flattery
Powered by a battery
You can turn it on at will
You and shadow have your fill.

A well phrased read for a goodly day!

Merry Christmas, Mr T, I greatly enjoyed your write for today.
