2004, swept together, cautiously
so that memories won't be damaged
keep the good ones safe in a nice place
and hide the remainders meticulously
in order that they're not lost forever
all memories of 2004

2005, yet an empty sheet
the memories are still unknown
and very carefully we plan ahead
writing down all that matters
or did matter, but didn't get carried out
and sometimes we must rely on those remainders
in order to keep us going in 2005
