Each creature’s spirit paints the sky
In a unique color of goodbye
As it flies into the next realm,
Guided by whatever light
That being lived its life within.
That is what I believe.

For those we’ve known whose spirit shone
With true pure colors of love’s light,
We must let them go where they must,
With a smile and a hug and a kiss,
As we let them know they will be missed,
but never forgotten.

I know you shall journey in love’s light.

Thank you so much for this beautiful poem... I will print it out and show him. He finally agreed to be admitted to the actual hospice house today.. just for awhile.  He needs to be there so they can help him more than we can at home.

He is so brave.. and his will to live is incredible..

Love,
Mary

Kacy, I think I will adopt your belief system; makes a lot of sense to me and you said it so beautifully.   & Happy Holidays!  .......jo

Thanks to each of you for your loving replies.
And Mary, I hope they can help Michael be more comfortable in his last days, and to provide you with some comfort as well. We love him, too.

Kacy
Many people write religious oriented poems on this subject..I usually shy away from them, though I never condemn them...I am always very pleased to find one, once in a while that is very spiritual, written in the context of the reality that I have become aware of, such as this one.
Thank You
