We never know how to embrace success why film making here is short of a mess we don't even know what films are ours to laud maple leaf productions for hours The maple leaf is on our flag talk about banners in schools that's a drag impatient talent is lapped up south of the border young prospects won't wait until they grow older. The actor needs to be applauded on stage but success is locked up, it dwells in a cage... the artist wants to receive some notation everybody wants to enjoy a decent vacation Ironically talent isn't what we like to embrace but worry about Canadian content in the media race. Nationalism is in the essence of what I say this taxpayer pays for local talent to stay. |
