A look through an aquarium glass: if only fishy worlds could last so a moray says as in his adopted deck hole; a sunken ship has proven itself quite comfortable. A look through a salamander's glass: if only external gills could last so a mudpuppy says as in bulrush retreat that watery world soon crushed by excess peat. It's a fishy world, yet I breath air so much lies uncovered in the fathoms lair A taste through a snake's forked tongue: if only pleasant tastes could last as long so the rattler says as he coils up for a nap unaware his rattle can signal his own trap. A look through the glasses of other life forms: if only there'd be constancy of their present norms 'smarter' forms have accepted ways of soled feet since they're better able to thwart defeat. It's a fishy world, yet I breathe air think I'm advanced but I'm going nowhere. A look through mountain top telescope glass if only one could discover another top brass It's a fishy world, one prods the heavens for other life forms It's so fishy; one can never be sure to find a mirror of this accepted kind. The secret is in letting your thoughts flow never come to the screen with an already prepared and final draft. I make my changes here. |
