I've come to know by now
what i chase is that first kiss,
as it transcends the lips,
from where it was merely
once born, a wish,

the first rush of love,
summertime trees in new skin
intoxication of the freshly painted branch
the dip and swoon of the virgin bride,
the wind that exhilerates
the ruffling of the pink petticoats,
then leaving barely a blush
of its awakening sigh,

posed in frozen stance,
december's ballerina
in the wooden forests
of wintertime,
her agile branch,
of coatings that adhere,
her pretty diamonds
falling, trimming jaded eyes
with sidewalks lined in crystal ice,

you can still surmise
the movements of the dance
upon her tangled frame,
she stands, midair,
both glorious and raped,
her face now claims
the look of love,

never one to settle
for the even keel,
i'll proudly stand
the queen of pain,
if but a moment's grace
can crown me joyous,
in ecstasy's dance,
while wearing the divinity
of the purple reign.

Well inspired. Wise to know the chase is the thing, the first blush usually as good as it gets (the rapture of the capture) and the height of desire is at the precipice.
