gin mothers ruin the original sin best drunk from the lid of a boot polish tin a twist of lemon an olive or two gently swirled not shaken its good for you tonight I indulge a habit or two to hell with the red it sends me abed as for the white its turned to vinegar these past hundred nights but gin the original preservative makes life bearable imbues a will to live the day after never to be repeated agin |
