I was going to reply something and instead just thought of what we really find ourselves in at Christmas. Love, family, people who make an effort to see each other, caring, and of course, especially at Christmas we end up with fights galone, people not speaking to each other for a long time and people left out, plus of course a few other things. We all get on well with until we tie each other together in a relatively small area, apply lubricant, with body language indicating invasion of space and we forget to add the tin can for communication. At some time the cat and dog hide under the sofa with their paws over their ears as we explore our individual personalities, usually leaving the doors opening for all animals to escape including us. I remember my father saying to my mother, "if you say 'Yes Dear' one more time" would you leave your brain on the side because you obviously dont need it". I married a woman not an apology. How the Christmas spirit can flow at times. As the cheer raises and the enjoyment grows - have a Good Christmas. Dave |

I have to smile at this, having come from a very large raucous family that made holiday get togethers something of a spectator sport - yet we all love one another and I miss the times when we'd all be together now that we're quite scattered across the country - This was fun - merry Christmas to you and yours as well - Susan Happiness isn't something that happens to you, it's created from within you. Joy is a state of mind. |

Morning David...welp, I suppose Christmas wouldn't be Christmas without a little work, but all in all, as you suggest, such is the Miracle of Christmas...love and hugs to you and yours |

A Korean friend of mine taught me how to make teriyaki beef - it was her grandmothers recipe - and the secret of the wonderful flavor is to squeeze the flavors into the shredded beef with your hands. It makes me think of people - the more we mix and speak our mind; the more we experience each other -I want to say the better the experience - but that isn't always true ~May you enjoy your family and friends this season Dave~ Merry Christmas |

Susan Families grow together, grow apart as they get older it seems to be parts that grow together. Have a Good Christmas and New Year. Enchantress Thanks - have a Good Christmas and New Year. Suetang And you Sue. LeeJ Thanks Lee have a Good one. Copperbell Thanks. I hope you and your family have a Good Christmas. I do the cooking here and one book I often read isn't Korean or Japenese but "The Joy of Chinese Coooking" by Doreen Yen Hung Feng. It is worth it just to read her comments but you are right on the differences between cultures, it is one of the reasons I prefer to work in various countries rather than the UK and I still remember my 2 years in Singapore but everything always seems better when you are home and not sleeping in some traffic jam, or drinking Irish beer in a French or Dutch town when I still haven't managed to get to Dublin. Ericc Member Elite since 01-31-2003 Posts 3165 Eric You have the talent. I just mess with ideas and words. As a kid I wanted to make people laugh. I wanted to be a Scriptwriter, a Stand-up, a Cartoonist. It is still there but the hunger wasn't and the talent wasn't. Maybe the poetry isn't there either. I am just interested in ideas, what is different, trying different things to see if they work. Maybe one day I will catch the tail of the comet. Have a Good Christmas and a Good New Year. Hope Only trouble was getting the neighbours out from under the furniture first so the cats and dogs could get under. Have a really Good Christmas and an excellent New Year everyone. Who knows what we can do in 2005. regards Dave |

"we forget to add the tin can for communication" Oh, we haven't forgotten to add it; it's just dragging along on the ground behind us. *smile* an entertaining write! |
