The Vines Of Time Now you’re gone from me and the trek begins. Minutes, minutes... what are they? Vines in the endless forest of time... I must cut them through, squeeze past, trudge around the mass in mindless detours until I find you somewhere, somewhere in the middle of this land of vines. They grow and grow, shifting changing.... still I’ll find a way; my spirit points to you, draws a finer line than any compass ever dreamed. We’ll be together somewhere within this endlessness of green and rain and separation. I feel the place, feel it like a living presence there, beyond these vines of time. my spirit points to you, draws a finer line than any compass ever ~*~ vines can be like that... whether growing toward the sun or water... Well done! |

Jamie Vines are like that...wayword...not caring where they go, just going their own special way towards something, and causing a tangle of jungle while doing it. Not easy to find your way, unless you have purpose...which you obviously do. Loved this poem!! [This message has been edited by Martie (12-09-2004 09:26 PM).] |

Wonderful write! *S* Through your words, I feel the clinging tendrils impeding progress, causing sweat and stumble and even some backtracking... towards a destination worth any and all efforts expended. *S* |

"Now you’re gone from me and the trek begins. Minutes, minutes... what are they? Vines in the endless forest of time... I must cut them through, squeeze past, trudge around the mass in mindless detours" I liked that beginning part...great write, although it's sad. ~Alli~ Happy Holidays! |
