Put yourself in my shoes Someone said to me I put myself in their shoes Found them empty, can’t you see? He was a rich man And my next pair were poor Put yourself in my shoes Make your own guess of war So I learnt a lesson When they talk about their shoes How you will wear them And how they are used Some may take their hats often off in bed Most take off their shoes And other things instead Some may take the souls But wear them in briefs To put back in their cases When time is all too brief But the most embarrassing thing to me As socks put themselves in shoes It gets very cold When the holes cry out for whose |
