My Echo My echo flies each step I take It circles a diminish wake A lesser stir the force of tide Eternity of self divide It powders into finer dust To touch upon the next entrust And I would like to think a goal Perhaps to shape a human soul But in the constant of the flow We lose the weaving of the sow And cannot stand the enzyme lime That grinds each stage in passing time Although we heir the storm and fair In all the wind and air of wear We are in truth a passing phase A baking cake that waits a glaze And so I’ll pass around the bend Passing to an endless end |
