Tumbling through dreams,
ecstatic anonyminity,
isolation, silence,
no going back now.

Severed is my past,
detached to ensure my future.
I come to a dilema,
to seperate completely?

My mind has accepted,
it holds meetings with my heart,
trying to win it over,
everyday it's case gets stronger.

I want to yield to the mind,
and i will, i have to.
i have no use with waiting,
it is time for separation.

Gloriously alone i am,
music plays at the mind/heart conference,
and relaxes enough for the decision,
made in sober, calculated judgement.

Things have passed, have gone before me,
God is within me, i trust his love.
He tells me to move forward,
i comply with those wishes.

Leave all behind is my new call,
those in the past will not make it
to my future, life is too short.
Goodbye past.

Emotional detachment from the past is a good thing. Yet we need not deny it.
