I been writing this stuff for thirty years and I often keep coming back to this heavy rock format (when I'm not writing blues lyrics) with distortion and sustain and you'd have to hear it....LOL! aw well it's a fun trip anyway... Cathy-Mae plays a new way now she's actin bold She'd lie to know that young guy even though she's old. It's hard to escape life prints when shaping time begins. And her mother's holy advice said she would always win She has no time fears but what is waiting for her Never thought she'd be alone her bridges all burned. Love ain't no longer there Love ain't no greying hair. Love ain't no wrinkled glare. Love ain't no drunked up stare. There's a coming private party if the young buck does respond. He might take her out of there and fake a lover's con. He's been thinkin bout the prime time while he's mocking her. Then he'll leave her on her own empty and disturbed. She's left with time tears what's waiting for her. Never thought she'd be undone new issues that hurt. Love ain't no longer there. Love ain't no make up flare Love ain't no perfume prayer. Love ain't past seasons bared. She must decide what it is that needs her concern. Who's going to carry her through the waste she'll earn Will she know when to stop and close her open door Or will she keep on staggerin cross the bar room floor She sheds some wine tears but what is it she must learn. Never thought she'd be alone dark walls surrounding her. Love ain't no longer there. Love ain't no mercy fare Love ain't no daydream cares. Love ain't one night affairs. Love ain't no longer there.........no love ain't no longer there....who cares....fade Ain't doin nothin at all |

i like your style, it's quite original...i believe one has most fun writing poetry when he makes his own rules... you've got a good one here...quite sad, made me drop some wine tears |

Uh oh! Another one I'll have to send on to my brother...for I know he'll enjoy reading it just as much as you enjoyed penning it! |

A Letter You write that you are ill, confused. The trees Outside the window of the room they gave you Are wet with tears each morning when they wake you Out of the sleep you never quite fall into. There is some dream of traffic in your head That stops and goes, and goes, and does not stop Sometimes all night, all day. The motorcade Winds past you like the funeral cortege of someone famous you had slept with, once or twice. (Another fit of tears dampens the leaves, the page.) You would expose your wounds, pull down your blouse, Unbosom yourself wholly to the young doctor Who has the power to sign prescriptions, passes, Who seems to like you...And so to pass Into the city once again, one of us, Hurrying by the damp trees of a park Toward a familiar intersection where The traffic signal warns you not to cross, To wait, just as before, alone---but suddenly Ten years older, tamed now, less mad, less beautiful. As always sir, a visual treat to the ears and a sound spectacular to the eyes. Whether you are penning Jazz or Rock, it just plain out ROCKS!!!! Now you know this is one happy cowboy to see your name pop up in here. Been a while, too long. Awesome song from an awesome talent. |

You do rock ET. Glad to read you again. Somehow you managed to draw the picture of someone I have known in my life. Sadly the lyric is very true to form...yet, at times we are all the various teacher, student and desciple of life. Welcome back. TD |

Hey, you've been missed! And this write is a slice of life. I loved that opening, that 'mother's holy advice.' |
