Watercolor pictures faded memories cluttering my mind spilling through my eyes. Hues of red and blue stained canvas masking my youth smeared with age. Diluted resistance lucid lines present stroking my years reluctant and used. Faced with reality adust canvas aging image time soon forgets. Naome James Rev. 12-03-04 Original: The Canvas Water color pictures and faded memories Are cluttering up my mind And spilling through my eyes. Shades of red and blue Stain my canvas face; Hiding signs of youth And smearing it with age. Diluted by resistance And mental disarray, Memories of my past Reluctantly fade to gray. Faced now with reality, and a vision of what's to come. A new image covers me-- I think I'll despise this one. Naome James Copyright © April 2001 |
