He turns off the radio and listens to the music Not frenzied beats or pulsating rhythms, but the slow suction of the blues, drawing, pulling him in- swimming in the womb of her, as if perhaps submerged in a warm jacuzzi filled with soothing antiseptic balming a cut in an anapestic beat, ta ta dum as she calls out to him, he dreams her songs, He only dreams of what he knows and since he is blind, He dreams not in sight, but in touch, and in taste, And of course, he dreams in sound, her sound, the blues. |
