Drinking from natures braised spigot Hand feeding her heart Lilacs humming morning growth Like rose buds Winged seedling of clearings Gossiping auburn sea designs Recommending, liquid human expressions In three dimensional art Eating trembling leaves Leaves Leaves, she knew by name Caused Jenny Craig abductions Of which she won’t mention She thought about forked tongues Of some paths Wondering bout the laughter Seemingly worth the effort But then to an outdoor drifter Spiritual circles range an inside world Like a pimp in the street Disciplined to hangers-on Necessity gestures Climb in the dread of waiting Carving human lives Like a Nobel Prize With persistent telephone calls Which can be ignored…. Or answered There should be more nursing homes With occasional guests Full length ambition Pared with companionship Not to be written on a to-do list Merely, worn, like stockings Where slippers snuggle Singing the same song |

Lee, you blow me away with your flights of fancy! To begin reading a poem of yours is to embark on remarkable journey! With much affection, Linda |
