As her heart sang its songs in the meadow Full the sun, shined its glitter in shadow Any season that reason forthcoming Skips the light of fantastic still strumming He appeared on the outskirt of sages Never sure in the turning of pages Yet delight is his signature image Prowess bold for the sidelines in scrimmage In his follow her skirt tucked in waste band Gently fair, through the dimming of bad land In the scatter of elk through the carpet On the hoof of the bull gone to market At the edges of pine lay permission Shedding sleeve and her own inhibition Shuddered shoulder and rack in the ripple of black All his sturdy and steam but the tip of a dream she held back That he knew her so well, dipped the cup deep the well Soft his touch to her hair, as the snow of not now slowly fell Although pleased with himself, in his moves made so stealth He remained in the brushes, overseeing her steps, for the good of her health All the while did she know that he could love her so? That his tough disposition just a misplaced omission of whole It is said of her still, by her own light and will That she meets him half way, in the climb of each hill To delight and astound, songs of flight move the ground And his beauty grows deeper every sweet scent around Copyright Kkh 11/28/04 |
