Permeated Thoughts Deep was the look within these long ponderings of heart Enslaved to the propensity of permeated golden thought Where waters of emote uncover a map in celestial chart Reflected in jewels fractured by lessons yet to be taught Sweet is the taste upon silver lips of rose petal embrace Quenching parched vines of passion in shadows of cry Hesitant are these breaths written on scrolls of ivy lace As wisps of endearment glide on blur of wakening eye Journeys of entwine cling in spiral wrap against walls Braided in amplified speech left deaf to gestured hands Invitation stamped behind doors in sapphire laced halls Riding dogwood carpets on swirls of blossom demands Embedded in heart is the destination of cherished way Graced in the language of residual silence upon pine Where crystal grains spill through an hourglass sway Residing between corridors of emerald velvet design Mark Christopher |

Happy to read you again Mark. I was thinking as I read this piece, how difficult it is to put your finger on the bleed sometimes. Left me impressions of those insecurities that sometimes weep in all of us. The visions of the heart set the truest course I think...if we follow. Your pictures always open my eyes a little clearer. Time for me to confess. I have tried to emulate your style but failed. *shaking my head* You've got this meter thing going on that I can't replicate--so I have come to the conclusion that I will simply have to leave it to you. ![]() Mine could never compare, Mark. ![]() |

Mark, Wow. It's hard to type this with my jaw hanging open. Your imagery, as always, was spectacular. Your words were graceful, sweeping, and eloquent. I was so completely focused on this poem I didn't hear my wife calling for me! It is simply one of the best I've read in a long, long, time. you are a master of poetry. Well done again, and again, and again! Your poetic friend, Kevin |

Journeys of entwine cling in spiral wrap against walls Braided in amplified speech left deaf to gestured hands Invitation stamped behind doors in sapphire laced halls Riding dogwood carpets on swirls of blossom demands this is emotionally binding....well painted your imagy takes the reader by the hands and whispers our names so intently yet softly, teaching along the way....kindness is the key which inspires your heart |

Enslaved to the propensity of permeated golden thought Where waters of emote uncover a map in celestial chart Reflected in jewels fractured by lessons yet to be taught Sweet is the taste upon silver lips of rose petal embrace ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Hesitant are these breaths written on scrolls of ivy lace As wisps of endearment glide on blur of wakening eye ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Journeys of entwine cling in spiral wrap against walls Braided in amplified speech left deaf to gestured hands Invitation stamped behind doors in sapphire laced halls Riding dogwood carpets on swirls of blossom demands Graced in the language of residual silence upon pine ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Residing between corridors of emerald velvet design ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Have to agree with Sen... your style is uniquely yours and its hard not to read your writes and not be taken by the flow... so your title is certainly appro.... I particularly enjoyed the vocab in this...but more than just the wording, was the lovely poetic phrasing...you took some beautiful images and laced them with a turn of phrase and poetic thought and then with your gift of cadence, spun quite the lovely tapestry of verse. Your 3rd verse is pure gold...images, personifi, ...just awesome.... This one breathes of a Thomas Kincade painting to me...only better.. its an MC original. ![]() "Permeated Thoughts" ... yeppers....from the mind of poet. Another beauty from your gifted pen. ThisDiamond - Not insecurities at all but merely the ponderings of life around us that can be so easily overlooked if we don't take the time to really SEE what is in front of us. Yes, the heart does see the truest course. Thank you for your comments. Serenity - I am honored that you would even want to try, but believe me, it is I that could not compare to you. The wonderful thing about poetry is that it is like a bag of marbles. We each see one that is more attractive to us than the others. Thank you for "just being you" always. miscellanea - Thank you for pointing out your favorite line as that helps me to learn. Also thank you for your kind words. EA - Just make sure you don't forget the apple. ![]() Martie - Each of us has a song within us that carries the rhythm of our lives I believe. Thank you dear flower girl. You are much appreciated. Dark Angel - Then you should know that you have graced me with yet another smile. Thank you dearly. Sunshine - Yes, these Looooonnngggg extended absences of 8 days can wear on a soul can't they? LOL Thank you much. Enchantress - Thank you much and you lady should know a thing or two about talent since you breathe it yourself. Juju - As long as it doesn't spill over that is good right? ![]() Kevo - First off, my apologies to your wife please. ![]() LeeJ - I believe all art forms including poetry should be a learning experience and I thank you for seeing that as well as for you kind comments. You make me smile. Marge - Good thing those brushes come with volume control isn't it? Thank you dearly. JM - Well, if I could get half the price he gets for an original, then do ya think I would be one happy cowboy? LOL Thank you as always for your abundance of in depth review. You do know how much I appreciate them and you so ....... nuff said sweets. Sy - It is I that thank you and I will try to do so without tainting the saintness. Magnus - You sir have a talent and a gift of your own that is quite impressive and I thank you much. Alli4000 - I am glad you found it beautiful and a treat. I thank you with much appreciation. |

Sue - Thank you very much and I am glad you found it breathtaking. You are much appreciated. ThisDiamond - First off thank you for the second visit and reread. One of the things I learned in my absence from here is how to see things quite clearly and to take the time to look at all the angles in anything. It seems to give me a much clearer view of what seems to be so obvious until delving further. I do know of the cancerian tones and I too see butterflies at times, but I have also learned that when butterflies were graced upon us, they were given no voice, while the birds kept there beautiful colors and were given beautiful voices. There is a Native American legend about that very thing. (Rambling here so I will just simply say thank you for the revisit and I appreciate the time you spend in reading.) |

Sue - First off, sorry it took so long to reply but have been busy with the season and all. I did get to read the comment as I always go back and check and I thank you very much. Sorry about the email, but I pulled it down a long time ago due to some unwanted contacts. I do appreciate all your comments and you are appreciated. Thank you. Charisma - Thank you so much and I must say it was a delight to see your name here again. Hopefully after the season is over, I will be able to spend some more time in here and I do expect to see some of your works quite frequently. |
