And when you all sit down to eat the turkeys backed and fried Then think of me, poor Dutchie gal who has not even a wing in sight Though I've been given a lot I'd say to be grateful and thankful for I've no remembrance of one year a turkey came walking through my door I once chopped off a rooster's head at least I thought I did But as it was in twilight of eve I'd made a mistake, I must admit Because this is what really happened When cleaning the beast, an egg popped out In stead of the rooster, I killed his mother The rooster cackled next morning out loud 'Ha ha', he screamed, 'I had you fooled I knew you would grab the tallest beast So I made myself smaller than MOM' He stayed alive for six months at least Maybe it's best I have no turkey walking in on Thanksgiving I'd say I wouldn't dare to chop his head off to find out later...'he' had been a MOM one day HAPPY THANKSGIVING TO ALL MY PIPFRIENDS Like scattered leaves...my words will flow |

LOL! A delightful story, Titia! If you can't tell the difference between a rooster and a chicken I suggest you never work for Kentucky Fried Chicken!!! Thanks for the smile... |
