As i reach for them more keep falling be careful of the pretty ones they've yet to be given final destination as the withered and crippled are cast off to the side, in manmade mountains manicured for appearances sake some are sewn in seams going silently mad in suffocation of black plastic until the devil comes and spins them on eterity's ride be careful where you walk, spare the pretty ones as i reach for them more keep falling [This message has been edited by inkedgoddess (11-25-2004 11:02 PM).] |

I hate when I see leaves in black plastic coffins..Dumped into landfills..The pretty ones fall because they have work to do, even after death, as all living things do....turn them and me back into the earth..let their skeletons and mine decay and nourish other things to come...it is natures way of not wasting things. enjoyed this one very much, Inky.. _________ice ><> [This message has been edited by ice (11-25-2004 12:20 PM).] |

Lovely...reminds me of my 12th stanza of my "Autumn Leaves Dodecagon," XII and I test the supple flora finding most have spent their lithe moments and become brittle, fragile, delicate as they decompose their last hours before dust claims them, salts them into a semblance of invisibility where they feed the future tasty genomes for breakfast ©November 10, 2004 Thanks for posting a truly different form of an enjoyment of autumn, despite the sadness of loss. Whether on the shoal or on the shore, |
