Of Day and Night I wish my shadows of the night To issue forth into the day To stand a lantern bright of light And strew a coup a path of way Transcend the earth its state of birth Fix each morning with its dew Extend in time its state of girth Be passed upon the wind to you A new of grace each changing place A touch of knowledge of your goal The hew of rainbow to your space Surcease of peace within your soul I would you have the Golden Fleece To keep you from the cold of strife I would you have a mind of peace To wrap you round your stay of life Just bring your shadows of the night And let them fade within the light. |
